Week 4 Of Mural.

So far so good, it is almost completed but there is still some major things to do. Sounds contradicting right? This visit to Fuchun primary was not reproductive as what we intended. As this is our school holidays (some holiday it turned out to be), only 3 of the group members turned up. Hopefully next week, we'll get perfect attendance and it'll be completed.

Week 3 Mural!

Well, just as we planned. Week 3 was definately outstanding. The teamwork made our progress increased rapidly. I guess we just need 2 more weeks before we could finish the whole mural. Hopefully things work out. Oh well.

Week 2 Mural

Week 2 was pretty slow progress. Maybe it was due to the humid tormenting weather. However, we survived! We started by painting the flag poles grey and outlining the flags and also the figures below the flag. I don't think the group was satisfied with the work that we had done. Oh well, we learn from our mistakes. Hopefully, the 3rd week would be a promising and productive week for mural. Anyway, if you are wondering why the pictures are uploaded in a 'turn back time' way, it's because I want it that way! It's on purpose because I think it's a more creative manner to show our diligent work. Hahas..

Mural Painting @ Fuchun Primary

Before any murals paintings began, we must always lay the old newspaper so that paint will not drip and mess the floor. (Any idiot will know that) Just a picture to show how considerate my group is. The walls are then taped to for indications of where to paint. The wall is approximately 8.2 meters and 3.5 meters height. Yes, it's a very big wall without any windows or doors for sympathy.

My Mural Design

Well before any paintings begin, there must be brainstorming and sketches to be done. As this is a group project, everyone had to do a few designs for the mural painting. This is one of the designs which I have chosen for the mural which I tried my best to incorporate National Education in an abstract artistic manner. The 5 arrows represent total defence while the 3 fingers on the right represents the decades Singapore had been through. The white and red face is an indication of us Singaporeans to play a part in sustaining Singapore's growth.
